About The Job Wire
The Job Wire is an independent desk in Austin covering how local service businesses actually run — weather weeks, weekend HVAC, owner-operators, and the jobs that never hit the calendar because nobody picked up.
We write for operators in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing. The interesting stories are rarely about demos. They’re about a van already on a job and the next customer still calling.
